Platoniq designs and supports digital participatory processes and facilitates innovative participation methodologies to help build more democratic and just societies and organizations, using open civic technologies.

Based on the concept of democratic creativity, at Platoniq we help public and private nonprofit organizations carry out inclusive, intersectional, and secure participatory processes using bold and inclusive methodologies.

We approach participation through the lens of innovation—not only from a technological perspective, but also from social and cultural ones.

How did we do it?

  • designing ad hoc methodologies tailored to the objectives of each participatory experience;
  • promoting a selection process that places those “affected” at the center, taking affirmative action into account and amplifying the voices of those who need it most;
  • adapting and moderating both physical and digital spaces to create safe and informed environments where all opinions can be expressed safely and respectfully;
  • aligning all objectives with the common good and the potential of collective intelligence.

Platoniq as a force for democratization

The Platoniq team takes all possible variables into account when conducting citizen assemblies and dialogues. To this end, it draws on sociologists, analysts, facilitators, lawyers, and philosophers, all of whom are dedicated to bringing out the best in each process based on their own experience.

We believe it is necessary to change the way we approach citizen dialogues and assemblies, so that we can include non-human voices when relevant and prioritize creativity as a tool for emancipation.

Organized by Missions Publiques and facilitated by Platoniq, the dialogues in each country brought together diverse voices, contexts, and local experiences in an effort to influence their digital development.
